Ottawa Valley Aquarium Society (OVAS) – Aquamania weekend – October 23 – 24, 2013
The weather promises to cooperate this year as the executive and volunteers of the Ottawa Valley Aquarium Society continue to work to put the final touches on this weekend’s AQUAMANIA – a two day event culminating in Sunday’s GIANT AUCTION. (LOCATION: Best Western Hotel and Conference Centre, 1876 Robertson Road, Bells Corners, Ottawa, Ontario)
There will definitely still be snow on the ground but the forecast is for sunny, blue skies and temperatures in the +2C – +6 C range, a definite change from the past couple of years. My role is a simple one, I get to be the raffle ticket salesman which also leaves me free to roam the floor with camera-in-hand having fun recording the events and activities.

I still have to get my own items ready to take to the auction so if you see me at the OVAS AQUAMANIA this weekend, please stop to say hello and buy some raffle tickets :-).
Midnight Friday: Just got back from the hotel where the vendors were working hard setting up their merchandise displays before the start of the Saturday event. When I arrived, there was still a lot of merchandise still in boxes and a lot of open space on the tables but a few hours later that had all changed!
