New England Trip 2012 – Day 8 – Chatham, Cape Cod MA

New England Trip 2012 – Chatham, Cape Cod MA

After visiting Newport RI the day before, we had driven into Hyannis, Cape Cod MA in the dark. Nothing more exciting that driving around a place like Hyannis when you have never been there before.  Lots of traffic on the streets and intersections all seemed to be at angles and roads all seemed to be curved :-).

Today our guided tour lead us to venice’s fish and fruit market which is located a very short distance north of the Rialto Bridge. The fish were certainly fresh but not still alive, unlike the invertebrates many of which were still alive on display.

Cycling in Florida – Ponce Inlet – Marine Science Center

The Marine Science Center at Ponce Inlet is closed on Mondays so, since we had decided to delay our northward travels due to a severe winter storm crossing the northern US, we were able to return to Ponce Inlet on Tuesday for a bit more cycling and a visit to the Marine Science Center.

Day 2 of my trip from my home in Ottawa, Ontario to Moncton, New Brunswick with my 91 y.o. father.  We stayed in a hotel on the outskirts of Montreal the night before because I was having a bit of an electrical problem with my car’s lighting system and I decided that driving in the dark without lights might not be such a good idea. Solved the problem pretty quickly in the morning light and we were on our way again.  Next stop, Quebec City.
