Meanwhile, back at the registration table, they were looking for something but I’m not sure what! Nice matching billboard colours though ! :-).
Before long, the first few registered items made it to the tables, and soon, people were beginning to come in to begin looking for that special item to mark of their list for later bidding. It’s actually pretty amazing that 1200 items can arrive and be labelled and be placed on tables in about 1.5 hours but that is what happens and this year was a banner year as far as the number of items that were registered.
I enjoy seeing the wide variety of fish and plants that arrive for auction, but also like to see the more unusual items that arrive such as bins full of various rocks and the many types and shapes of driftwood and man-made ornaments.

A moment of silence as Wayne prays that the coffee doesn’t run out and looks out over the assembled masses and tries to calculate how many hot dog buns will be enough to feed the ever-increasing number of people looking for something to bid on.
Others meanwhile don’t appear to be bothered at all by what is going on around them!
