Most of the items offered for sale had been pre-registered so, upon arrival, everyone had to stop at the ‘registration table’ to pick up their pre-printed labels while, in the background, last minute registrations were still being entered into the computer program at a frenetic pace. and a holding tank was being prepared in the corner.
I, the raffle ticket seller, disappeared for a while to get my own things up from the parking lot. By the time that I had done my four trips up and down the stairs, there was some pent up demand for raffle tickets and, when someone said excitedly “There he is!”, I knew I would be busy :-). After that, all day long, people would walk up to me and give me money!
While I was busy selling raffle tickets, all around me, there were folks busy bringing in more and more items for the tables.
Making a list and checking it twice.
When the auction began there were a few seats empty, but it wasn’t long before late-arrivers found that it was standing room only.
I was trying to take all of my photos with available light with my Nikon. Canon folks can sometimes be tougher to photograph under such circumstances 🙂
Of course, when everyone else is sitting down and bidding, there is more time and space to look around the tables more carefully.

Ron, may I use our Auction Chair’s “face” (Randy Moar) from your picture on this page? I needed one for the newsletter that I’m publishing for next week. He didn’t have one available. I “photoshoped” it to remove the mike stand in front of him.
Let me know…

Not a problem. Might see you on Saturday.
