A lot of glass! – Corning, NY

The museum’s website indicates that they play host to about 300,000 visitors per year. Not hard to imagine, given how many were visiting on this particular day.

For those looking for that elusive glass slipper perhaps this one is the colour of choice.

Given the time of the year it is not surprising that the Museum would have a Christmas tree. What made theirs unique was that it was made of a collection of glass balls attached ot a wire frame work.

By the time we left the museum, the day was over and the light was fading fast.

Update: May 2012 – Back in Corning, NY for another visit. This time visited the Gaffer District and the Rockwell Museum of Western Art.
