African Safari – October 26th – Morning Game Drive – Lake Nakuru National Park

Yellow-billed Stork ( Mycteria ibis)

One of our drivers photographing group members. while others watched the birds.

Nests of the local weaver birds. These nests didn’t appear to be inhabited while we were around.

After watching the storks, flamingos and pelicans for a bit and the numerous smaller wading birds (smaller birds generally out of reasonable camera range), we headed up to the lookout point on Baboon Cliff which provided an excellent panoramic view of the Lake Nakuru area. It was interesting to watch a long line of Zebras making their way along the shoreline trails.

With White Pelicans soaring overhead, we hopped back into the vans and continued our travels around the lake shore.
