African Safari – October 26th – Morning Game Drive – Lake Nakuru National Park

White-crowned Shrike (Eurocephalus ruppelli)

Red-billed Oxpeckers (Buphagus erythorhynchus) hard at work

Once we arrived at he Flamingo area, we were greeted this time not by a White Rhinoceros, like the night before, but by a Spotted Hyena who was in no hurry to leave the area.

Spotted Hyena (Crocuta crocuta) – also know as the “Laughing Hyena”

The hyena eventually wandered off and we were allowed to get out of the vans for another session of bird watching on the shores of Lake Nakuru.
