Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (Heading Home)

Previous photo shows the first half of the trek. This photo shows the second half. Our plane was parked well past the blue jet .
Heading Home - The long walk - Punta Cana Airport

If only we had walked a bit further maybe we could have chosen one of these.
Choices, Choices - Which one is just sitting there waiting for me?

One last glance at the executive jets. Choices. Choices.
One last look at the executive jets.

I'm ready to go - Just give me the signal.

We’re ready to go but better let this big guy land first.

Finally. Heading home! It was nice while it lasted.
Heading home - the beaches soon faded from view

Our flight back to Ottawa was uneventful and we arrived back after dark . We didn’t hit landfall again until we were near New York and from there we could see twinkling lights through broken clouds for the rest of the trip.

Above the clouds and over the ocean for a few hours.

Ground was clear when we arrived home and about +2C but it certainly felt cold after spendiing a week at +30C. A few days later snow arrived in abundance.
