I like to photograph butterflies in the wild but when my wife decided that she would like to go to a matinee performance of a play at Niagara-on-the-Lake and it was okay for me to go off to the Butterfly Conservatory a few miles down the road, I didn’t hesitate too long. The day started out with a heavy rainstorm accompanied by high winds sending tree branches across the road and when I arrived at the Butterfly Conservatory I found the heat and humidity to be very oppressive. When I got into the conservatory, it was like walking into a steam bath with lot of visitors walking up and down the pathways and butterflies everywhere.
