It’s milkshake time!
Another great day weatherwise (+28C and loads of sunshine), so Adell lowered the roof on her Volvo convertible and off we went to pick up my father. At first, he didn’t want to be bothered to go outside but, with a bit of prodding, he agreed, and off we went to Zak’s for a milkshake.
A bit of challenge to do the transfer from wheel chair to car and then car to patio chair and then back to car and then back to wheelchair but we all survived and enjoyed a bit of time out in the sun. A trip through a car wash erased any dust from yesterday’s outing at Foley Mountain Conservation Area. A lot has changed since the days when Dad sold a line of detergents to the car wash operators. In those days, the brushes swirled around the vehicle and beat the dirt into submission. Now, soaps and soaking combinations in a variety of colours coax the dirt off just in time for the blast of water to come along to finish the job. Fun to tell Dad how its done today and to explain why bubblegum colours and aromas are needed to do the better job :-).
