WestFest – Gets Naked – 2011
Saturday – once again Westboro festival, WestFest, has taken over Richmond Street. The annual event (this year called “Gets Naked” because of the performance by Bif Naked) basically closes the main street of Westboro to traffic and allows visitors to walk around and be entertained and shop. Its quite an event, with several street performing acts such as the Stunt Man Circus and their Po-go stick feats.
There are also a large number of mascots roaming the event.
There was also a roaming possee of bra wearing woman trying to support the local establishments. Other stores had hired models to showcase their style of fashion clothing.
Our group, of course, had our own resident model – Not Me, nor Mike although we do try sometimes 🙂
And of course some cars, painted as promo items…
Others simply for sale conveniently parked…
Also had a chance to meet-up with fellow photographers supporting local events.
We did take an opportunity to get out of the sun, although by the end of the day it was starting to get pretty cloudy and rain was forecast.
