The Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes, Ottawa, Ontario

I stood at the finish line waiting for Team Cyborg to return. Lots of people arrived one group at a time so I volunteered to photograph everyone in front of the FINISH sign. Of course, I don’t even own a P&S camera so figuring out everyone’s different model of camera was an interesting challenge though. I just hope that they all turned out okay.

A great job done by the volunteers and sponsors and the weatherman missed out with the forecast for rain and no one complained about the sunshine.

And one final plug for safety – remember to change batteries regularly.

For those who like to know such things, the organizers announced that today’s walk raised in excess of $223,000.

And what did I do next? Well, I went walking. I walked over to Carleton University to photograph the cyclists returning from Kingston at the completion of the Rideau Lakes Cycling Tour.
