Pimisi Lake, Ontario
As Gerhard and I headed north from Ottawa on our way to Ivanhoe Lake Provincial Park, one of our first pit stops was at the picnic site on the shores of Pimisi Lake.
It’s a nice spot for a stop and has a place to put in a canoe for a quick paddle if you are so inclined and have the time. For us, it was a spot for a quick stretch only since we still had plenty of driving to do.
The picnic area and tables are nicely shaded under towering pines but, not unusual for this part of the world, the area also has its share of Poison Ivy so best not to leave the grassed area. For more information about Poison Ivy visit our Poison Ivy tutorial page.
