A bit of adventure on the Jock River

Graeme and I headed back to the cars with the damp canoeists and along the way enjoyed photographing an otter that swam in front of us and then climbed out onto a log. (images cropped)

Another wonderful day to be out on the water.

Dip …. Glide
Dip …. Glide
Through the still waters my canoe and I ride
The waters below are full and alive, not like the regular 9 to 5.
So I close my eyes for a moment … and then…
Dip …. Glide
Dip …. Glide
Through the still waters my canoe and I ride.

The Friends of the Jock River second 2011 excursion into the fen will take place this year on Thursday, May 5th. Meet at the end of Joy’s Road past the Centennial Golf Course in Richmond, Ontario at 12:00 noon for departure at 12:30PM. Not required to be a member of the group to join the excursion but I would advise you to get on Brian Finch’s e-mail list in case weather conditions force a change in plans.
