MACKENZIE KING ESTATE in GATINEAU PARK

We waited a bit and then my wife decided to stay in the safety and comfort of the car, as I bundled up and headed out into the elements to photograph the estate and the ruins.

A woman and her dog had found shelter on the veranda of the elegant cottage called MOORSIDE. Moorside was an elegant cottage on the estate of William Lyon Mackenzie King, Canada’s tenth Prime Minister.

As the wind speed increased and the strangest of strange weather continued, I left the woman and her dog on the porch and headed out to the area called the ruins.
