Ashton, Ontario – A step back in time

A number of the homes and buildings in Ashton are log construction with a fairly high percentage of tin roofs.

After a short visit in the General Store, it was time to head home, but, along the way, I couldn’t help myself and took a short detour into Munster Hamlet.

Munster United Church – built 1879

Former Munster School – built 1890

Dropped my father at his place and then headed over for a quick look around the Sarsaparilla Trail.
