Feeding The Deer – Old Quarry Trail

At first, there were three deer visible. They had been lying down and out of sight when I first appeared on the scene. I started throwing chunks of carrots in the direction of those three deer and, before long, there were a total of six that came out of the woods for my carrot offerings. Started with my 180mm lens but was soon back down to the 55mm lens. This first shot displayed here was with the 55mm lens and gives an idea of the surroundings and where the deer were when I first arrived.

Eating a carrot with his mouth open.

These two were having a bit of a dispute over who would eat first.

After feeding the deer, I found my way back to the main trail and headed back to the parking lot.

Along the way, there are, of course, always other things to photograph.
