Skating on the Rideau Canal 2011

Of course, all of this exercise can lead to uncontrollable hunger, or so it seems, and there were plenty of options to satisfy everyone from Subway sandwiches, to a simple cup of coffee, to maple taffy on a stick, to gourmet lollipops. All is available to the discerning skater and, of course, no skater voluntarily passes up a chance to take a bite out of a beavertail.

Westjet and their free draw combined with their tropical backdrop promised to happily whisk away any skaters to a warmer climate.

My wife and her friends had many things planned that they had to do before nightfall, so we didn’t stick around until the bonfires were lit.
