New Year’s Eve, the chairlift was about the only thing that wasn’t humming. As the evening progressed, more and more people headed uphill past the village shops to where the music was playing.
As the countdown to midnight began, a few revelers crossed the ski hill with security personnel in hot pursuit! But then the first shot went off and lit up the sky , and then a second and third and more and more until the final volley and everyone headed back home to start a New Year.
