Butterflies – Mexican Longwing – Heliconius hortense

The Mexican Longwing, also referred to as the Mountain Longwing, occurs naturally from Mexico south to Ecuador. It is a member of the Nymphalidae family of butterflies and occupies neotropical cloud forests within its range.
