Canadian Tulip Festival, Ottawa Ontario – Day 5, May 10th, 2011

I bit of heat and sunshine can do wonders for a tulip bed and that is certainly what is happening for the tulips that have been planted around the flower beds of Dow’s Lake. Still plenty left that haven’t started to flower yet but a great advancement since Day 2.

A bee’s-eye view.

Although there are plenty of tulips in flower now, I expect the peak of the blooming period, at the Dow’s Lake, tulip beds at least, will be this coming Thursday through Sunday and, with bright sunshine and warm temperatures forecast, it looks like the festival organizers should be really happy this year.
