Bates Island and the Ottawa River revisited

After enjoying being out in the sunshine with the dogs at the Bruce Pit Dog Park, I headed over to the Ottawa River and Bates Island. It was a nice day and water conditions were perfect for those who like to play in the rapids around Bates Island.

It was the first time that I had seen anyone trying out their whitewater canoe at Bates Island but they certainly seemed to be having a good time.

Further along the Ottawa River, the wildlife were quite accommodating so I stopped for a few more shots as I headed home.
