Lac Leamy, Gatineau, Quebec

Each summer, throngs of people gather on the shores of Lac Leamy waiting for the sun to set and another evening of fireworks and music to begin as part of the annual International Fireworks Competition. Getting there early is a good thing to do as space becomes limited as nightfall approaches and the best viewing locations are staked out and claimed by blankets and chairs. Back for the shoreline there is plenty of space to burn off a few calories before settling in for the evening of fireworks.

As nightfall arrives it seems like forever before the first shot goes off but after the first fireworks head skyward and the cheers go up, the light and sound show gains momentum until the final climax. FIREWORKS IMAGES.
