Some Kanata, Ontario fire hydrants

I needed to walk off a bit of birthday cake so, with camera in hand, started walking home after having joined my father at the August Forest Hill birthday party. I could find some interesting things to photograph along the way but instead decided, once again, to photograph some of the different varieties of fire hydrants that I met along the way.

First there was the bright yellow one with the rounded blue top.

 

Then not too far along, there were a couple of red ones with different styling.

 

And to finish it off, a yellow one with a flat top and a red one trying to get out of the ground.

 

As I passed the Earl of March High School dust collection unit, I couldn’t help but wonder how busy the school would be in a couple of weeks when summer vacation time would be over.
