Fall at Luskville Falls, Gatineau Hills, Quebec

The Luskville Town Hall had been at the corner since 1877 and still was operating there as a public building.

As I walked back to the park entrance, a couple of children got out of their van and made the horses happy with a nice ripe apple.

Luskville Falls in part of the National Capital Commission Gatineau Hills Parkland. Normally, it is easy to get to the picnic area but, in the Fall, it is not uncommon to find the roads leading to the park entrance lined with cars for quite some distance from the entrance. Today, that was certainly the case.

At this time of the year, it takes quite a bit of rain to make a good falls over the flat face of the Luskville Falls location on the Eardley Escarpment so, at this time of the year, it is the colour of the leaves that is the attraction and not the volume of the falls!

The local wildlife can also be fun regardless of the season.
