Youngstown, New York – Fire Hydrant Art

Aug. 20, 2011 – We were visiting in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area and decided to take a trip across the river to visit Fort Niagara. We spent a great deal of time stuck in traffic on the bridge crossing the river, but finally did make it to Youngstown, NY. which is near to the fort. Because we had spent so much time stuck on the bridge waiting for US customs to process the many visitors, our time on this trip was very much constrained and so we didn’t stop in Youngstown to do any shopping or dining, but I did get a chance to photograph a few of their painted fire hydrants before heading on to the awaiting fort.

Some other places where I have photographed fire hydrant art include Tweed, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
